About Inedo

The quest for software excellence began in 2003 when Inedo was founded.

At that time, a hearty group of seasoned developers with years of worthy software development experience in a variety of industries including banking, education, insurance, retail, healthcare, government and manufacturing banded together to bridge the software gap for small and medium size businesses. Their rallying cry from the Latin, “Inedo” defined the mission: “in the state of creating or providing information” leading businesses to quality software applications and practices.

The quest grew darker as these brave knights found that these businesses had failed to discover and use the best software development practices that would naturally drive the creation of meaningful, high quality software. Over time, they rescued more businesses in distress by salving these broken practices and processes with their years of wisdom in the art and science of best software development practices.

As these knights bravely conquered each challenge, the question arose, “was there not a software sentinel that could stand guard over these businesses protecting them against poor software quality and suboptimal development practices in our stead?” The kingdom was searched, but no champion was found.

Thus was born, BuildMaster, a software toolset razor sharp with the collected wisdom and best practices experience gleaned by the knights of Inedo. An ever-present, silent sentinel standing guard as it automates the build-promote-deploy-distribute plan for every application thereby freeing fellow developers in corporate IT from the chains of push plans, late nights and fatal deployment mistakes.
