Connect Source Control with Infrastructure as Code

The GitHub Extension lets utilize GitHub as your Source Control in conjunction with Otter. This extension also offers configuration through variables via setting values and scope.

Once the GitHub extension is installed, additional built-in operations can be called in plan.

  • Get Source from GitHub - Gets the source code from a GitHub repository
  • Tag GitHub Source - Tags the source code in a GitHub repository

If your installation of Otter can access inedo.com, simply navigate to Admin > Extensions, and install or update extensions from the gallery.

You can also manually install the extension.

  1. Copy the extension file (GitHub.otterx) to the Extension Library path (by default, this is %ProgramData%\Otter\Extensions).
  2. Restart the Otter Service (Admin > Service).
  3. Restart the Otter Web Application (Admin > All Settings > Save).
  4. Verify that the new extension has been loaded (Admin > Extensions)
