Integrating an Issue Tracker with BuildMaster
Bug and issue tracking is a necessary aspect of the software development lifecycle.
Without it, outstanding bugs and feature progress would be almost impossible to manage.
BuildMaster allows hooking into a variety of issue tracking software tools giving you
the ability to:
- view outstanding and closed issues for a specific release
- change issue statuses as part of an automated deployment
- append a description or comment to existing issues
- ensure that all issues are marked closed before a build can be promoted
Adding An Issue Tracker
From the Administration page, select Issue Tracking,
then Create New Issue Tracking Provider:
Select the issue tracking provider that you are currently using to manage your bugs
and features from the list provided. If you're using one that currently isn't
supported, let us know.
The exact fields will be different depending on your issue tracking software. By
selecting Save, issues in this provider can be linked with an application in
BuildMaster. To do this, select Issue Tracker from the
Settings drop-down menu on the application navigation bar.
