Hi

Do you have an example of how to implement the ODataAdapterBase class to programatically alter the Url of the returned packages?

Thanks
Sean

Hi,

We have Proget installed as a Nuget Cache for external packages. I am getting this weird error when restoring through the command line as part of our build process (e.g. nuget.exe restore oursolution.sln -source "http://proget.mycompany.com:81/feeds/external" -NoCache"), I get the error "Unable to read package from path 'EntityFramework.6.1.1.nupkg'".

When I try to open the downloaded package with 7Zip, I get an error saying the package is not an archive. What I found is that if I download the package through the GUI of our Proget instance it works and when I compare it to the file downloaded via the command line, there is a size difference. For example, package 'EntityFramework.6.1.1.nupkg' is 4,135 KB when downloaded via the GUI and 4,129 KB when downloaded via the command line. So there is a difference of 6 KB. I can't open the corrupt package to see what's missing.

Proget is running behind IIS and I am on the latest version. I get the same error for several packages. Can't see what I am doing wrong, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Milan

I want to create a new feed (proget deploy), but I’m getting error "Nullable object must have a value" at the top of the popup.
Am I doing something wrong?

When I attempt to access my ProGet feeds through Visual Studio or nuget.exe it errors out with a 503 error.
I am using:

  • LDAP authentication
  • Integrated Authentication
  • IIS Hosted
  • With custom AppPool identity which has access to my database and filesystem

Hi,

according to https://inedo.com/support/documentation/proget/feeds/advanced-feed-settings Proget should consider connector order for identical packages on different connectors.

Unfortunately that isn't true. It returns random packages from one of the connectors.

Best regards

Hi,

I am using proget 3.5.5 as a nuget mirror, running under IIS. I've got builds from teamcity that are failing from time to time. When I retry few times they work.

The error I am getting is:

Unable to find version '2.0.0.668' of package 'protobuf-net'.
[13:17:48]Errors in package restore

In IIS logs, I can see a '404' for that request but the package is present in proget.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Mialn

DataFlex is an awesome language with along history, and an active, though small user base. I'm wondering if anyone has set up Buildmaster deploy scripts for a DF workspace?

There is a compiler that compiles text files into exe files, so It must be possible.

I'm trying to set up ProGet 3.5.5 Enterprise to allow anonymous access to the NuGet feeds, but require authentication for everything else. The problem is that I'm experiencing problems authenticating to the feed through Visual Studio because our developer workstations are not part of the domain. However, I would like to keep the auditing feature and have useful usernames there, hence I would like to use integrated security for everything else.

Is this something that can be set up? I've read on StackOverflow that I should add the View Only role to the Everyone group, but I'm not able to select this group and I don't think it exists in our AD anyway.

Under the Create New Release Buildmaster Action, there is a section for entering variables for that Release. As I understand, you are supposed to enter something like:

Variable1=Value1
Variable2=Value2

However, whenever I save the action with variables specified, they appear to be discarded. Running the action does not have the expected results, and opening the action again for editing, the entire Variables field is empty.

This behavior seems unique to the Create New Release action, as the Create New Build action, which has an identical Variables field, works fine.

I'm completely new to BuildMaster and I'm trying to configure a new installation. I'd like the security to use Active Directory (LDAP) which I can see I can switch on in Admin > User Directory & Authentication Configuration. In Admin > Manage Built-In Users & Groups I've added users with name's like <Domain><Login> and just <Login> but after switching I can't access BuildMaster.

All the online documentation looks to be for an earlier version of BuildMaster so is of no use given I've downloaded v4.6.3.5. Even the in-app help in the Admin > User Directory & Authentication Configuration doesn't read correctly, "Note that changing the directory will also log you out, which may cause you to become locked out of BuildMaster, you may reset the provider using the Admin Tool installed with BuildMaster found under \Service subdirectory under ". Hoping for a quick response to this post as your live help is also offline.

So far not a great first impression!

I have a feed for a specific project (let's call that feed A), and another feed that proxies the NuGet official feed (that's feed B). If I try to add a package to feed A from feed B by specifying the local, proxied feed's URL (e.g., http://server:port/nuget/FeedB), the package name, and version, I get this error in the UI: "The package could not be installed. The package was not found on the remote repository." I do not show any errors in ProGet's error logs. The error occurs regardless of whether I have pulled the package to my local feed from the remote connector.

If I use the external URL that Feed B's remote connector uses (e.g., https://nuget.org/api/v2) then the package loads successfully.

Hi,

I currently have ProGet up and running. I've been looking into security options for the Free install option. What I'm trying to do is hide the list of Feeds and Packages that appear on the ProGet homepage.

Is there a way of doing this?

Kind Regards,
Ben

I have a NuGet feed set up with a connector to https://www.nuget.org/api/v2/.
I can view the packages within the feed in VS but when I add a filter to the connector, for example log4net, the packages are no longer displayed.
The UI within VS just displays Retrieving information...

If I look on the server running ProGet then the following exception message is logged:

Exception message: Nullable object must have a value.

When searching a NuGet feed via the ProGet website I get the following error

There was an error with a connector: The operation has timed out

This only happens on a feed where I specify a filter of something other than *.

I have previously only used nuget to obtain packages from public servers such as nuget.org. I was expecting that ProGet would only host the packages that I uploaded and that I would retrieve all other packages from the likes of nuget.org however, ProGet does seem to list packages available from external servers. Is this a configurable setting as I would like proget to only show me what I have uploaded.

I've updated to ProGet 3.5.5. Creating a new role and trying to deleting it shows alert with an error:

Is there currently, or any planned support for HP Fortify. Or any experience with customers who may have created any form of integration for Fortify?

Hello,

I'm not able to publish a package for an authenticated user by using the username:password as an API key, as long the anonymous user does not have at least the "Feeds_ViewFeed" role.

But I don't want to have my packages published for anonymous users. But I need to publish packages by an authenticated user.

Is this by design, configuration error or a bug?

Any advice?

I have ProGet Enterprise hosted in IIS 7.5, and it seems bulk importing packages from a local directory is not functioning. Does this only work when ProGet is hosted by the ProGet service?

Can ProGet do version dependency so if we upload a package at v1.3 and then release v1.4 but we know our code for a project can’t use v1.4 can we force it to get v1.3 only when it is being built?
