I create a click Once action. I enter in the path of the certificate and a password. I then run a build. It seems to have passed with a trick. But the target directory is empty. If I look at the log I see:

Executing C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v8.0A\bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools\mage.exe Unable to open certificate "D:\Certs\MyCertificate.pfx":The specified network password is not correct.

If I open up the action - the password no longer appears in the action.

What is up?

I create a test action which executes some tests - I don't give it a group name.

I run the build

On the Execution Details page I click the Tests link by the log link and get:

I have also been trying to get Buildmaster to talk to TFS. I have had some success

I have set up a TFS source control and Issue tracker. Both connections when I test them work. I can build an application and run a simple test.

First, a problem that I fixed which I want to make you aware of.

Initially the Apply Label action failed due to The user or group name Daborn, Tim (Admin) contains unsupported characters, is empty, or too long. ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: TF10158: The user or group name Daborn, Tim (Admin) contains unsupported characters, is empty, or too long.

Changing my user name in TFS to remove the brackets and the comma fixed that.

Next, where I am stuck. But when I try to associate the issue tracker with the application I get:
An error occurred while loading this provider: Access Denied: Tim Daborn needs the following permission(s) to perform this action: Edit collection-level information.

Except I have them . In TFS Admin I have even set my permissions from 'inherited allow' to 'allow'.

Is this a limitation with the express edition? (I also have TFS express 2012 as well as Buildmaster express)

When I log in I get the above error. Details - Assembly DotNetRecipes was not found. The extension may be out of date, have been deleted, or could not be loaded. Parameter name: assemblyName

I think the extension is missing - where can I download it? (The server has no web access).

Thanks

Hi

First, thank you for fixing the issue with the NullReferenceException on the environments page.

I now have an issue with Access Denied when trying to set up

I have a win 2003 server running perforce 2007.3 - the client tools we use are Perforce 2010.2. I downloaded and installed the agent, selecting the local agent and port 81.

When I added the server to build master - everything went well - except I have the error icon in the list of server. (It took me a little while to find the message .) Message was Error scanning agent for dubmomttpro (2)

But the agent status was- hosted: Yes (an agent is installed on the remote server.)

As initially I could not find the error message log, I went on to configure the Source Control provider. That went well. But when I tried to use the .Net application wizard, I was unable to select the solution file. First I got a dialog containing HTML, next I got the yellow screen of death with Access denied.

The firewall is off on both the BuildMaster and Perforce server. So I am not sure why access is denied. (The BuildMaster server is win 2008 R2)

Is there an easy way to diagnose this? Or, given that this is an evaluation, can I just re-install the agent on the Perforce server and try the Soap-hosted Agent? Or is there a way to configure the agent?

Thanks

Hi

I have a deployment config setup on version 3.6.5 and would like to migrate that setup to 4.0.2. How can I go about doing that?

Hi,

I downloaded and installed Buildmaster, as part of an evaluation.

When I went to the extensions page I got the message below.

Undeterred I pressed on! Assuming the issue was because I had no extensions installed.) I installed a number of extensions: DontNet2, Gallio, MBunit, msTest, Nant, Ncover, Perforce and TFS2012, by copying the bmx files into the extensions folder. (there were some extensions theer by default.)

I now get a red banner saying that an extension needs to be updated, but still when I go to the Extensions page I get the yellow screen of death.

[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]

How can I fix this.

Downloaded latest version and I am able to make a successful connectiopn to Git but now I am getting:

I have not changed anything in the command after upgrading from 3.x . I have removed and readded the Source control provider.

It seems that Proget server has a problem dealing with Update-Package command with a -reinstall command parameter.

Nuget client will send something like Get /nuget/Default/Packages(Id='My.Package',Version='1.0.0.0')/Id HTTP/1.1 but Proget's answer will be "HTTP/1.1 400 Invalid request URL." As a result, Nuget client reports "Skipped reinstalling package 'My.Package.1.0.0.0' in project 'TestProject' because the package does not exist in the package source."

Please confirm if this is not supported by Proget yet. And if not yet, please support it. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the MSBuild functionality in 4.01 Beta is broken... it looks like a variable (_CopyWebApplication) is bubbling up and causing my MDBuild steps to fail.

Here's the log. The error is 'error MSB4057: The target "_CopyWebApplication" does not exist in the project.'

I am trying to connect build master to an enterprise github account.

The test connection is successful, but I go to add an application I get the following error.

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\BuildMaster_WEBTMP\GitRepositories\10.12.90.196_joshua-bartley_ProjectName.git\10.12.90.196_joshua-bartley_ProjectName.git\ProjectName.sln'.

When I look inside _WEBTMP, I find this folder path instead. It looks like instead. It looks like it might be doubling up on the folder path?

C:\BuildMaster_WEBTMP\GitRepositories\10.12.90.196_joshua-bartley_ProjectName.git\ProjectName.sln

*Recent download and build.

I want to set up SVN. I have multiple repositories:

http://myserver/svn/Repo1
http://myserver/svn/Repo2

Can I get an example of how to set this up in the Subversion Extension? Nothing I've tried seems to work so far.

We have multiple sites with various development and test servers. Is is possible to copy the configuration from one BM instance to another so that much of the work setting up the build and deployments can be shared instead of redoing this work on the other server?

Can't find any documentation on these. What is the difference between Feeds_DownloadPackage and Feeds_PullPackage?

We have a couple of packages that contain pdb files which are critical to the operation of the associated component, not to provide debugging information.

In the package the pdb file lives next to the dll in the lib\net40\ path.

When the package is either uploaded via the ProGet web interface or pushed via command-line, the package appears to be pulled into the server with the pdb intact (I confirmed this by opening the package from the server's \ProgramData\Proget\Feedname folder.)

However, when a client downloads the package the pdb file is stripped out. I suspect ProGet is seeing the package as a "symbol" package and taking the appropriate action to add the pdb to the symbol server but I'm not sure how to override this behavior. We do need the symbol server functionality for other packages so turning it off wouldn't be an option.

Is there a way to finagle the package so ProGet doesn't take the pdb out?

Thanks

Hi,

I used a SSH-Based Agent to connect to a Linux server (S1) for my application.

Then using 'Execute Command Line' option, I connected to S1 and deployed the application to GlassFish server running on another Linux server (S2).

The following error is seen:
deploy:
BUILD FAILED
deployment.xml:152: The following error occurred while executing this line:
api-build.xml:473: Execute failed: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "asadmin" (in directory "/opt/glassfish3/glassfish/glassfish/bin"): error=2, No such file or directory

I checked on S1 and 'asadmin' command and the folder structure are present.

I am able to ping S2 from S1.
Ran the ant task from S1 and it deployed successfully to S2.

I am also able to deploy from my local Windows machine to S2 using BuildMaster.

Am I missing something which I have to add for using SSH Agent?

Thanks

we are getting the following build error during our Integration build on our BuildMaster installation, while trying to retrieve locally-created nugget packages through our ProGet Feed:

C:\BuildMaster\_SVCTMP\_A1010\Src\.nuget\NuGet.targets(89,5): error : Unable to find version '1.24.1' of package 'xxx'.

C:\BuildMaster\_SVCTMP\_A1010\Src\.nuget\NuGet.targets(89,5): error MSB3073: The command ""..\..\.nuget\NuGet.exe" install "C:\BuildMaster\_SVCTMP\_A1010\Src\server\xxx\packages.config" -source "http://xxserver:81/nuget/Default" -NonInteractive -RequireConsent -solutionDir "..\..\ "" exited with code 1.

the Proget Feed contains 2 connectors (1 for a private feed and one for the official nugget source). We can access the feed page with a browser and with our development IDE - its only the buildmaster build that is failing...and it only seems to be the private feed packages which are causing a problem...
