I have a test setup where I have several release template variables for Deployment that have initial values and are not required. Then I've set the Build stage to Auto Deploy the next stage.
When I try to run this I get a warning in the Create Package dialog saying I cannot deploy because Deployment Variables must be entered and then it does not auto deploy the next stage.
Is this expected? I would have thought if none of the Variables are required that it would just run the next stage.
I even went in and created the same variables in the Pipeline and it still will not auto deploy.

Here is the excerpt from the Pipeline:

We using the format https://[progetserver]/upack/[feed]/download/[package]?contentonly=zip&latest on a Universal feed the zip file is downloaded, but it is empty. I would expect the contents of the package folder in the .upack file to be in the downloaded zip file. Am I mistaken?

I can see Visual Studio Extensions are in your roadmap. I was wondering if you can give any timescales on this? We are having to support these manually in IIS but we use ProGet quite extensively so would be great if we could use this also.

Dear Indedo,

Allrecipes has a mirror of NuGet.org in our ProGet (4.6.7, build 2) instance. We’ve enabled the (nuget.org v3) feed connector for our mirror feed. Afterward, viewing the feed displays the following error message prominently:
There was an error with a connector: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.

We see warning messages similar to the following for the feed In the ProGet error log:
An error occurred processing a GET request to http://INTERNALSERVERURL/nuget/nugetmirror/package/HtmlAgilityPack/1.4.6: An error occurred while communicating with the remote host. The error code is 0x80070016.

Inedo frequently put off support for NuGet v3 support according to their forums. It’s Allrecipes understanding that this functionality is definitely now included and supported in ProGet.

We’ve had to disable internal ProGet usage for .NET Core applications every time a new .NET Core framework is released so our build agents can populate local NuGet caches. This takes a considerable amount of developer time.

I'm concerned about the space requirements associated with using proget to host my internal docker feed - is there any de-duplication or is each image stored raw?

Is there a way to tell if a Stage is being auto deployed by a previous stage or manually executed?
I'm trying to handle a situation where the script will act a bit differently based on if it is auto deployed or not.

We recently updated from ProGet v4.0.9 to v4.6.6. We did have some trouble with several failed attempts due to inadequate DB access which we've now resolved.

Now though, when we go to the page of a particular feed, not all of the packages are displaying their descriptions. Some are, some aren't. If you click on a package link, then the description is there on the details page.

Please look into this and let us know what's up. We'd like to have these descriptions displayed on the feeds page.

Thanks,

Currently proget doesn't support authToken authentication. This means we can't publish to proget via TravisCI. This is kind of a show stopper for us. Is authToken support on the roadmap?

Hello
I have found a small problem in a recurring job.

  • current time : 31/01/2017 16:00
  • Create a Recurring Job (every at 16:30)
  • The job is immediatley executed (31/01/2017 16:01) and scheduled for the next day (01/02/2017) at 16:30

Expected behavior :
The job should run at 31/01/2017 16:30 and the scheduled the next day (01/02/2017) at 16:30

Hope it is understandable :-)

Hello,

We are trying to setup our ProGet instance with Active Directory as a Domain Forest Directory because we have two domains that will need access to the packages. I was able to set it with one of the domains but it doesn't seem to be finding any user account in the other domains. I also cannot find anything on the UI that allows me to setup ProGet to look at a specific Organizational Unit, so it is currently scanning the whole domain for users and groups.

I've tried looking at this page but all it says on the page is what each feature offers, not how it is setup, so that isn't very useful.

Any assistance would be helpful!

Good Afternoon,
Can someone please tell me how to change the context root for my Proget 4.6.6 install? In my company I have a proxy server that routes all traffic to the various web servers and they are all routed via URI. For example:

https://mycompany.com/bitbucket
https://mycompany.com/jira

I need to be able to access my Proget server via https://mycompany.com/proget. Can someone tell me how to configure this please?

I entered length of 171 characters in the override reason, it has no response clicking override. But once removed the reason, the override worked. Is 171 characters too long for the reason portion? Is there a maximum length for it?

I added a new maven feed + connector (to https://repo1.maven.org/maven2 )

Then I manually executed the Scheduled Tasks

  1. FullMavenConnectorIndex
  2. BuildMavenFeedIndex
  3. FeedCleanup

All of them were successful, but the connector still shows up as "Unknown" state with 0 packages.

When I manually pull a package from the connector, it is correctly chached however.

What am I doing wrong? Why is the connector not showing as healthy and listing all packages it has?

When editing "Deploy artifact" I'm attempting to browse the directory. When I select any linux server I get the error:
"ERROR: The type initializer for 'Inedo.Ssh.NativeMethods' threw an exception."

The error is the same as described in this question:
http://inedo.com/support/questions/5017

I was using version 5.6.3 when I first saw this error. I've updated to 5.6.5 with the same result. I also tried to replace the lib files as suggested in the above question and had no luck

Hi

I have setup a feed where "Strip symbol files from packages downloaded from this feed" option are enabled.

Published a .net *.symbols.nupkg package to this feed, and on installing package from visual studio getting the .pdb files inside /lib folder even though "Strip symbol files from packages downloaded from this feed" option is checked on the feed configuration page.

Is this a bug? Or I'm missing something here?

By default, operations will be performed as the user that the agent service runs as (Local System). I am trying to perform some group and user operations using PSDsc. Because this DSC operation must reach out to the domain, it will not have domain rights to query the members being added to the group.

PSDsc Group
(
    Otter_ConfigurationKey: CreateDummyGroup,
    GroupName: DummyGroupCreatedByOtter,
    Ensure: Present,
Description: Test using PSDsc from Otter,
    Members: "`@('mydomain\myuser')"
);

This will produce the error:

PowerShell DSC resource MSFT_GroupResource failed to execute Set-TargetResource functionality with error message: Credentials are required to resolve the domain account mydomain\myuser.

Perhaps allowing General blocks to execute with specific credentials (impersonate) might be a solution? I have done this type of impersonation in PowerShell, and found that a different type of impersonation is required to perform network operations.

I think offering impersonation may offer a better solution than running agents as a domain user, as it is by default low privileged, and only impersonate when absolutely needed.
