So, in testing how to do the license filtering, I create a new feed called test of type npm. I add a feed connector to https://registry.npmjs.org. This works great.

The issue comes when I try a set up a License Filter. Based on the help in the dialog box, I am under the impress is either wide-open, or a white-list, i.e. only the licenses listed are allowed. However, when I enter a bogus URL to test (call it https://www.google.com), and run an npm install socketio which is under ICS license, it still will install, along with the rest of the dependencies which are a mix of BSD-3-Clause, MIT, and ISC.

Now, most of the package.json files simply have a line like:

 "license": "ISC",

and not an actual URL, but one, configya, does in fact contain a URL pointing to the MIT license over at opensource.org.

So, what am I doing wrong, or is the software does not work that way?

Hi,
can you help me with an example of how to use it? in the sample below only retrieves the deployable name but not the numbers that I need.

# Loop
foreach $Deployable in @DeployablesInRelease
{
    set $BuildComponents = $BuildComponents + $Deployable $ReferencedReleaseNumber.$ReferencedPackageNumber
    Log-Debug  $BuildComponents;

}

Many thanks.

Hi,

I'm trying to get Approval required event listener to work, but it doesn't. Approval received event listener works though.

My setting for the listener is:

Application filter: all
Application group filter: all
Pipeline stages filter: all (there're no matched pipeline stages anyway, not sure if this is a sign of any symptoms)
Email address: my email (same email works for approval received event listener)
Email behavior: Notify all users whose approval is required in addition to the email addresses specified above
Additional options: Event listener is active ticked.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out why my bower feed on ProGet is not called when I try to install bower packages.
Bower feed

I put a .bowerrc file in my project but it's ignored by the bower command.

{
  "registry":{
    "search":"http://xxxxxx:81/bower/tsi-bower"
  },
  "timeout": 300000
}

I've run bower install angular, and it's installed from github and statics page shows 0 packages in the bower feed.

Hello,

####Context
We are encountering a problem with a Nuget feed with a connector pointing to MyGet.
We are receiving the following error when trying to search on that said Nuget feed.

The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.```

####Repro Steps
1. Have a MyGet feed and find the `Feed Details` page (`www.myget.org`)
2. Copy the Nuget V2 pre-authenticated URL
3. Create a Nuget Proget connector and use the copied URL
4. Add this connector to a nuget feed
5. Try the Proget search bar `Search packages:`

You should then face the error described previously.

Thank you and have a nice day

Dear all,
I am going to explain my release process.

  1. Developers compile some .exe files into a folder called 'A'.

  2. They login in into BuildMaster, create a new release and press 'play' button.

  3. BuildMaster, automatically, move these files to folders 'B' and 'C' and executes all the .sql and .pck files inside

  4. Send an e-mail saying that release was sucessful.

Is it possible to do this using BuildMaster?
If yes, could you please help me setup this case?

It's quite urgent, after this demo I will evalute if we need the pro version for our company. Thanks for help.
Regards

Giacomo

Recently, we have updated our ProGet to the version 4.2.0. Its release notes state that Amazon S3 package store is finally supported, but I do not see any related to it configuration options. So, the question is how to I enable package storage on Amazon S3 (or rather migrate from regular storage to Amazon S3)?

Hi,

I'm trying to create my custom package store and change my existing feed to use it. After a lot of issues I was able to create my store using the ProGet 4.2 and latest SDK 4.0. After deploying to the extension folder, the proget recognize my store and I was able to see it in 'Extension Overview' section. Next step was to set this store to my feed. But at the 4.2 version there isn't an option as at the previous version, to set a xml configuration for my custom store - which is in your documentation here

Can you please help me with this?
Thanks

After installing the latest version of BuildMaster (5.2.1), if a build fails, I am no longer able to re-execute from the last failed action. Why this option is not available?, it was very usefull, I have a deployment plan for several deployables...the process can execute for at least 20 minutes...and if one action fails for some reason...I need to start the process from the 1st step again...Is there any way to execute from the last failed action?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi,
I just migrate from 4.9.7 to 5.2.1, and I can't see the action "Generate Release Notes" in the new plans...But I can see in a release notes (http://inedo.com/support/kb/1116/buildmaster-50-beta-notes) from buildmaster that the "Generate Release Notes" action has been restored... How can I use now?

Many thanks.

When I go to the Admin page on my server, it incorrectly shows that the ProGet service is offline. When I click on Manage Service, though, it correctly shows that the service is running. Of course, in reality, the service is indeed running.

Is there anything I can do to fix that or it's a bug in the code?

Thanks!

We recently purchased Proget and are looking to deploy it via a package. Kindly provide us any documentation that you have so that we can install through the command line without user interaction silently.

I'm trying to use variables defined in Admin->Environments or Admin->Servers. When the variable is defined in one of these sections and then I'm trying to use it in one of the powershell scripts as Ambient Variable - script doesn't recognize it.

E.g. I defined a variable for one of the Environments as EnvCode = DEV1. Then in one of the scripts in Script Repository I define Ambient Variable and for its value I use $EnvCode, similar how I would use built-in variable like $ReleaseNumber. When script is running instead of actual $EnvCode value "DEV1" it just sees it as literal "$EnvCode".

What would be the correct usage of Environment or Server variables? Can I use them in scripts at all? If not - where and how can they be used?

Thanks

Hi

We are using chocolatey to install proget

How can we use chocolatey to uninstall proget?

Which are the parameters we need to pass to uninstall proget with chocolatey?

Do you have examples?

Especially it would be nice to avoid the pop up coming from the command

"C:\Program Files\ProGet\Service\pguninstall.exe" /unincluse

and pass the parameters to select the two choices we have on the uninstall process

Thanks

Hi

WE are installing proget with chocolatey

The installation works fine

When we uninstall with chocolately the uninstall prompt for YES/NO and shows the uninstall GUI

How can we uninstall silently?

Moreover when the uninstallation process starts then it drops immediately due to the fact that chocolatey process terminate.

How can we wait for the termination of the process?

Thanks

We have just upgraded to 5.2 (including updating the Git extension) and are getting the following errors.

When testing an existing Git connection or attempting to create a new one on a Linux agent: "An unexpected error occurred while attempting to connect. The type initializer for 'Inedo.Ssh.NativeMethods' threw an exception."

On a Windows agent: "An unexpected error occurred while attempting to connect. fatal: destination path '.' already exists and is not an empty directory."

Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I am trying to create a simple plan that pulls the latest source code from a Subversion repository then runs MSBuild to compile the code before packing everything up in an artifact to be delivered to the next stage in the pipeline. When I set this plan to run under the "Local" agent on the machine hosting my instance of BuildMaster it works fine. However, when I change the plan to run on a remote Windows 7 machine that has an "Inedo" agent installed I receive the following stack trace:
