Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to offer technical advice to organizations who are trying to transform their organization through DevOps and automation. This is accomplished several ways, including:

  • Assess the technical needs and implementation challenges for DevOps and automation
  • Working directly with users of our software (primarily remotely) to develop a plan for a successful implementation of DevOps with Inedo products, and then regularly following up with them on a regular basis to drive this success
  • Demonstrating how Inedo products can help our users (primarily remotely) to users so they can better understand how the software might facilitate their use-case
  • Create written technical content to supplement these solutions, including blogs and tutorials
  • Present technical content to users remotely, either privately or publicly (in webinar)

Experience

Experience Required

  • Prior 1-on-1 enterprise customer interaction
  • 5+ years software development experience (C++, .NET, Java, etc.)
    • Read and understand source code at a high level
    • Ability to decipher a stack trace
    • Ability to understand API integration points
  • 2+ years DevOps and/or automation experience:
    • Continuous integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)
    • Deployment automation (Jenkins, Octopus, BuildMaster, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of package management solutions (NuGet, maven, rpm, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Inedo tools
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Video editing (Camtasia, etc.)

Requirements

  • Be able to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation), with the ability to demonstrate and explain technical subjects to both technical and non-technical end user personnel in large enterprises on-site or remotely
  • Work directly with customers to develop a success plan
  • Technical mindset with an aptitude for problem solving
  • High level of motivation, self-starter, excellent at follow-up, team-player with ability to deliver within defined timelines
  • Create technical content in a variety of forms such as documentation, knowledge base, video scripts / recordings, blog articles, and tutorials
  • Draft technical specifications at an "input-output" level
  • Fluent in English
  • Travel nationally (or optionally internationally) up to 10%
