Warm-up time and number of feeds

  • 2 quick questions-

    • It seems like there is a warmup time, when the server doesn't have the nuget feed in the cache- is this normal?

    • It seems like I cannot make more than 3 feeds, …. Is that a limitation to the trial version or is that an error in the application?

    Thanks!
    Karl

    Product: ProGet
    Version: 3.6.1

  • Anything that isn't cached from nuget.org has to be pulled from nuget.org first - and depending on any connector filters, that could take up to a few seconds.

There is no feed limitation in the Free Edition, see the following page for the edition comparison: http://inedo.com/proget/pricing/features-by-edition

Can you verify that there aren't any JavaScript errors on the Create Feed page? I know there's been a report of the feed creation not working correctly when LDAP is enabled due to a missing JavaScript resource in some cases (this will be resolved in the next maintenance release).

  • Ok... This is about the nuget feed itself, not the packages. When setting the timeout to 120 seconds it seems to work.

I dont have LDAP enabled and I cannot see any JS errors on the page.... But I can tell that I have seen this both on the setup I made on my own workstation as well as the server that I have setup.

Nuget Server Version 3.6.1 (Build 6)
Tested in IE 10 and Chrome 43.0.2357.65 m

  • I see this Js error now

    Line: 1
Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'inedojq_frameddialog'

  • This was fixed in ProGet v3.6.2, thank you again for the report.
