Are there (near-term) plans to support TFS2012 for source control in BuildMaster?

  • A few days ago, Microsoft released the RC (Release Candidate) of TFS 2012, with a "go-live" license. BuildMaster supports TFS2010 for source control.

Are there plans in the near future to add support for TFS2012RC?

  • We definitely do plan on supporting it soon – did you try the current TFS2010 extension with a TFS2012 server?

  • I have TFS2012RC and BuildMaster installed on the same machine. I do not have TFS2010 installed on this machine.

In BuildMaster (in the Admin section) I enabled the "TFS2010 (v3.6.3.0)" extension.

Then, in Admin, I clicked "Configure Source Control Integration", then "Create New Source Control Provider".

I clicked "Team Foundation Server", and entered the Server and TFS Server Name.

Clicking "Test Connection" at this point displays this error:

Provider error. Could not connect to Team Foundation Server: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

  • Any updates on this topic, or plans to support TFS 2012?

  • We are still in the process of creating the extension and will be supporting TFS2012 shortly along with some enhancements to the TFS2010 extension. Once the extension is released we'll post an update here so that you can be notified via email.

  • We just released our TFS2012 extension - http://inedo.com/buildmaster/extensions/tfs2012
