Hi,

While working with RC1 of DNX, I noticed that the authentication challenge (401) simply results in an error. We use windows integrated authentication on our internal feed. Has anyone seen this as well and know of a work around?

We're building our libraries using TeamCity, and publish nuget packages together with the symbols and source files to ProGet.
When downloading a package from ProGet (both manually and via Visual Studio), the package folder contains the .pdb files as well as the source files.

I've followed all the articles I found on the topic and configured Visual Studio to support source server from ProGet, but it seems that as long as the feed is defined to not strip Symbols on download, Visual Studio doesn't load the sources correctly and I can't debug into the code.
As soon as I turn that feature off, everything works fine.

My issues is that I want the .pdb files to be downloaded so that I can include them in the released version (when deploying to a production server). we find that it's much easier to debug when the .pdb files are deployed together with the application.

Is there any way to achieve source server debugging when "Strip Symbols on download" is turned off?

Thanks

Is it possible to connect ProGet (and BuildMaster) to connect to an openLDAP provider rather then Active Directory? Looking to move to JumpCloud (https://jumpcloud.com/) rather then using Active Directory for our primary identity server.

We are planning to use ProGet locally for some time with a future plan to move it to Amazon EC2. Can we use the same license on the new server?

We are including the pdb file with the Package everytime and we are generating the Symbols package also.

ProGet is stripping off the PDB file when it is downloading. I found a setting as Automatically Strip PDB files to uncheck if we want to allow the PDB

http://inedo.com/support/documentation/proget/feeds/nuget/nuget-feed-configuration .

But I am not able to find the same in Configuration page. Let me know How to enable the same.

I am logged in as admin and I can't work out how to restrict access for the anon user? I would expect to be able to edit the anon user account and take them out of the admin group but there is no option to edit the anon account on the Manage Users and Groups page.

Hi,

I've installed the JIRA 4.2 extension on buildmaster 4.9.1 and try to add a "jira issue tracking provider".

However, when I fill in the required details (url, relative path, username and password) and click the "Test connection" button, I get the following error:

""An unexpected error occurred while attempting to connect. Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

The error-log of buildmaster self is empty, as is the windows Application eventlog. Is there any way of troubleshooting this?

I'v tried this with two separate JIRA-installations, the error stays the same.

Thanks!

Mark

I can access all features within the web interface for Proget, and have uploaded all the required packages, however I am unable to access the public feed. I have tried using the default Admin account, a second user account with read only permissions, and assigning the Anonymous user to have access. None of these work, the Visual studio prompt asks for a username and password, but fails to authenticate at any time.

It states "Could not connect to the feed specified at ..... Please verify that the package source (located in the Package manager Settings) is valid and ensure your network connectivity.

I know the source is valid as can access it from the web interface and I am copying the feed url directly from the web interface.

When accessing the url from a web browser it shows the following.

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<service xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2007/app">
<workspace>

<title xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom">Default</title> <collection href="Packages"> <title xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom">Packages</title> </collection> </workspace> </service>

Any help greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon everybody,

I have a question regarding the fetching of data from Jenkins through the Jenkins extension.

Our artifacts are located under these url path: http://[server]:8082/job/[application]/[job number]/[artifactory path]$[application-ear]/artifact/

While the Jenkins extension of BuildMaster looks for a path like this: http://[server]:8082/job/[application]/[job number]/artifact/ (missing one part of the URL)

We have checked this in WireShark. The exception we get from BuildMaster is the next one:

DEBUG: Build number is not an integer, resolving special build number "lastSuccessfulBuild"...
INFO: Importing Careunit sonar from Careunit sonar...
DEBUG: Temp file: C:\Windows\TEMP\tmpE224.tmp
DEBUG: Downloading artifact...

Thank you in advance!

I have Proget and now I tried to install BuildMaster. I thought it will create its own instancce of SQL Express. It didn't.

The default connection string is Data Source=localhost\ProGet; Initial Catalog=ProGet; Integrated Security=True;

Is there any configuration required to avoid this error ? I haven't changed anything while installing.

Scenario:

  • Proget has been setup to use Windows AD authentication
  • We have created an npm feed in Proget
  • We try running npm AddUser and provide default admin cerdentials, it fails with 401.
npm AddUser won't allow to enter domain\user syntax for windows account.

How do we get npm adduser to work with a private npm feed hosted in Proget server and with the proget server using windows authentication instead of the built-in proget auth?

Hi,

I've just installed ProGet and everything went smoothly. Congratulations for that.

Our intention is to use it as our internal package repository, for NuGet, npm and bower.
Our company is called Ingresso, so I created three feeds, one for each type.
I could't use the name ingresso for all the them, so I ended up with:

http://localhost/nuget/ingresso-nuget
http://localhost/npm/ingresso-npm
http://localhost/bower/ingresso-bower

If we create an internal DNS entry called repo.ingresso that would be:

http://repo.ingresso/nuget/ingresso-nuget
http://repo.ingresso/npm/ingresso-npm
http://repo.ingresso/bower/ingresso-bower

Which is still ugly.
The perfect URLs for me would be:

http://nuget.ingresso/
http://bower.ingresso/
http://npm.ingresso/

But I guess that's impossible.
Is there any hack I could do to have these? Maybe some URL rewrite magic?

Thanks,

Hi,

We make use of the prerelease tag in the NuGet package to tag packages with different uses.

Ex:

My.Package.1.0.0-dev-20151126-1545

I'd like to be able to filter the retention rules for a feed on the version, not just id/name.

Ex. I would like to only keep the latest 10 versions of all packages that matches the "rel" tag in the version. Thins would not touch packages named ex. My.Package.1.0.0-rel-20151126-1545.

Thanks,

/Erik
