If you submit a scoped package to ProGet and it shares a name with an unscoped package (e.g. @superscope/duckhunt and duckhunt), the scoped package will not show up in the feed's UI (/feeds/:feedname). Searching for the package name yields no results. However, the scoped versions do appear on the home page's list of recent packages, and (if you know the link) you can view the packages directly. npm clients work without issue.

This happens whether the unscoped package is local or through a connector. Interestingly, if the unscoped package is through the connector to npm's main registry, the README from the npm package will display in the detailed view of the scoped package.

Is this behavior expected?

I have a simple configuration set up in a role to detect on 12 servers whether or not a file exists. I've tried this both with a PSEnsure and the Otter Ensure File. The results of the routine drift detection from the role are always inconsistent and I almost never see the full results for all servers. Sometimes 4 servers will display as current, and then upon hitting the "Check Configuration" button for that role again then only 2 or 3 will be current. (Numbers aren't consistent)

The only time I get the full list of results, for all 12 servers, is when I run the remediate task for the role. For whatever reason the routine checker doesn't seem to display consistent results.

Am I missing something obvious?

Hello

Are there any plan providing the possibility to register a webhook, when a package was push to a feed? TeamCity and MyGet already provides this. I think it's a must have for doing seamless CI/CD when you have different libraries and should integrate into another product (e.g an executable or a webapp)

Since today we are getting an error when attempting to pull some Docker images:
ERROR: filesystem layer verification failed for digest

The strang thing is that after doing many pulls, it succeeds and it also occurs for very old unchanged images. It seems to be random..

The only thing that changed is that we granted user Anonymous the View & Download permissions. However, undoing this change doesn't solve the issue.

Hi there, I'm currently trialling ProGet but cannot seem to get package symbols working with Visual Studio with the Dockerized version of Proget. I understand from the documentation that full source serving won't work due to the indexer not being available. Is this indexer issue also the reason for symbols serving not working?

If that's the case, is it likely that the indexer will ever work with Docker and do you have any kind of time scale if so?

Many thanks!
Matt

I am getting an intermittent Unhandled Exception error for Ensure Application Pool when it gets to it's step of Applying Configuration. This is using all of the same property values, same server, same time of day it's run nightly but it will fail with this error intermittently. It will also occur intermittently when run it manually.

This app pool does previously exist in the environment this error occurs in. At this time I cannot move to a new environment to see if it occurs there.

I've been unable to find any other reason for this error, the server is not down - several steps prior to this one succeed on the same server, no event log errors on the server of any kind.

Here is the error info:

I created a connector to nuget.org. The connector shows healthy and no errors.
When I open my package source in VS only my packages are shown and none of the packages from nuget.org.

All the other packages should be listed there too, right? I don't have to pull the package before to my feed via the "Add Package" button?

Can you please increase the metadata output. Right now I am only able to see The Description, Release Notes and Tags. Would it be possible to show somewhere (maybe new tab) to show all the metadata Text.

Thank you

I am attempting to load build artifacts that are create with Bamboo. In this particular case, I am taking an setup.exe file and trying to upload it into ProGet. Here's what I did:

  1. I create a simple upack.json file, which contained only the name and version of the file

  2. I entered the upack command as follows:

upack C:\location_of_upack_json_file C:\my_setup.exe --targetDirectory=C:\mytargetDir\build_artifacts

Nothing worked. Here are some of the things that happened:

  1. FileNotFound exception for the path of the setup.exe file
  2. Permission error exceptions (even when I executed up upack with admin privileges).

So my question is this. What is the exact syntax that I need to use upack to upload and download my build artifacts. The ProGet documentation is not exactly concise on this issue. Please advise.

Will ProGet work on a disconnected network? I do work on a local corporate network that has no connectivity to the internet, so the installer and application would not be able to reach out to any 3rd party sites. We already have SQL Server installed, so the installer would not have to download SQL Express. Is this doable?

Thanks.

Using the package manager console from VS2017, the Find-Package cmdlet works fine querying a ProGet server unless I use the -StartWith switch, which yields the error:

Find-Package : Response status code does not indicate success: 404 (OData method is not implemented.).

Given the error, is the required functionality actually implemented in ProGet?

Hi,

If I try to push a package versioned as 0.1.0-unstable.3 or 0.1.0+2, I will get a Server 500 error returned from Proget. The logs show System.FormatException: Invalid version number.
Does Proget not support SemVer 2.0.0 ?

Go language installs packages directly from the website see: https://golang.org/cmd/go/#hdr-Download_and_install_packages_and_dependencies

Is there any ability in ProGet to cache those packages in order to make it work offline ?

Not sure if this is actually supposed to be live yet as I could not find any documentation on it but I was trying to use Ensure Application and while it did work there doesn't seem to be a way to tie it to a specific App Pool.
Just wanted to check if there was some way of doing so or not.

Hi,

I'm looking for more information about the web debug level configuration value: http://inedo.com/support/sdk-reference/proget/Inedo.ProGet/ProGetConfig.Web/DebugLevel

Is 0 the highest? Is 0 the lowest? If so, what's the highest?

Thanks,

Hello,

I want to install Proget but the user which will be used to connect with the database doesn't have enough permissions to create database so I am looking for database script which I can give to dba-s so that they can pre-create it. I downloaded manual installer which contains bmdbupdate.exe but we don't want to run third party exe file on our database server. I also exported the scripts to zip file but running all those scripts manually is impossible.

Can I get a single script for setting up the database ?

Hi,

I have ProGet configured to use LDAP and the Integrated Authentication is enabled.
If I open the web page in Chrome/IE the "Authentication Required" Pop-Up is still shown and I have to enter my credentials.
What do I have to change to get logged in automatically?
