I am experimenting with executing a romp package in Docker but when I do the Install I cannot get it to authenticate with Proget. I've tried username/password combo and API key but it just keeps giving me a 401 unauthorized.
I've even setup Docker service to run as a specific user in case that mattered in hopes it would just use that user.

We do have our Proget server setup for Window authentication since it goes thru our AD server. So the question is, is this possible?
I've also tried setting up some powershell in docker to download the package using invoke-webrequest but I hit the exact same issue there as well.

https://inedo.com/support/documentation/buildmaster/administration/agents#automatic-updates

"When BuildMaster performs a routine check on the connected agents, the installed Inedo Agent version is captured, and can be viewed on the server overview page."

Is this feature available for BuildMaster 5.8.3?

Hello BuildMaster ,

I have some issue on how we can load balance buildmaster instance ( the web server , the windows service , sql server ) , in order to have a buildmaster very scalable(very fast ) and high available ( in case of desaster use second server )

What I want to do to have a configuration Active - Active of 2 or more windows servers with buildmaster via F5 load balancer or any load balancer technology .

Should I consider to replicate some specific folder or configuration apart form the SQL Server Databe ( build master database ) ?

Thanks in advance

Andry

Hello, I would like to be able to have provided in a role or list of nested roles, the servers that have drifted or not drifted from each specific role. I want to do this for change control so I have a list of server I can include that need xyz done to them. I don't want to have to click on each server or role to determine this. A PowerShell module would greatly aid in this.

Hello, my servers are located behind a firewall that blocks access from the internet with a few sites as exceptions. Is there a way to have the agent updates from the Otter server instead of looking at a public cloud? Public clouds will not be granted access to the servers per our security policy. I can update from my Otter server as I have a specific need. Thanks!

We produce nuget packages containing the special Swedish characters åäö. We can upload them to a feed in nuget and browse the package. But we cannot install them from Visual Studio, TFS build or even download them directly from the Proget webpage. We just get "The package was not found."

This is not an issue with our old nuget-server but currently blocks us from using ProGet.

Hi,
If I buy ProGet Basic and setup the instance on a cloud machine but then want to move it internally to a system on-premises can I transfer the license by uninstalling & installing on-prem or are licenses permanently attached to a specific machine instance?

Does the License and Vulnerability scanning scan the artifacts/projects that are uploaded to Proget or only prevent downloading of artifacts/projects through Proget.

For example, if I have a Java project that pulled in dependencies directly from maven central rather than going through a proxied feed through Proget. It would be able to include a dependency with a prohibited license. Would the artifact that gets created for this project then be scanned when uploaded to Proget and the prohibited reference found?

Or, is it the case that in order to prevent inclusion of prohibited licences we need to have all dependencies pulled through Proget feeds to prevent them being downloaded in the first place?

In our local ProGet feeds, I cannot upload a package which contains a semantic versioning 2.0 version number.

In ProGet UI, I am using the menu "Add Package -> Pull From Another Repository"

Error message:
"The package could not be installed.
The version number provided is invalid, but would be valid if this NuGet feed were migrated to SemVer2. See https://inedo.com/support/documentation/proget/feeds/nuget/nuget-quirks for details on how to migrate."

The shown ProGet url does not seem to be valid.

Some information what I used:
Source feed: https://www.nuget.org/api/v2/
Package name: NuGet.Build.Tasks.Pack
Version string: 5.0.0+42a8779499c1d1ed2488c2e6b9e2ee6ff6107766

According to the error message the nuget feed itself didn't support SemVers2.
But if this feed really didn't support SemVer 2.0, how could this package, which contains a SemVer2 version number, been uploaded?

Does ProGet basically supports SemVer2?
I find different answers to this question.

In order to use package filters we would like to upgrade to a paid version of ProGet, but if ProGet doens't support SemVer2, we will need to look for an alternative.

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi ProGet,

I've tried to get HTTP and HTTPS working together with the built-in webserver to no avail. We can only get HTTP or HTTPS working, not both.

Therefore I have switched to the IIS approach, which gave me further headaches. Even though I've switched on all checkboxes I could find in IIS, the best I get is an empty page or a 500 page.
We're working with IIS 6.2 (out-of-the-box) on Windows 2012 and ProGet 5.1.22. As I'm trying to move our old ProGet server to this new machine and environment, I cannot use the latest ProGet instance at this moment. I dare not touch our production version of ProGet - if that fails too, we're in for trouble.

When I go to http://localhost/proget2 I get a full-fledged 500 error with details. When I go to http://localhost/ I just get a blank page, with <BODY></BODY>. Using any other binded url's just gives an empty page or a brief 500 error.

The detailed error page is copied in below. I hope you can shed some light on this 'cause after 10 hours of wriggling with all the settings, I'm at my wits' end.

Thanks,
Eelko

Hi

I see the support status of BuildMaster 4.9 has changed from Supported to Beta (see on https://inedo.com/buildmaster/versions). We run BuildMaster 4.9.10. All versions after 4.9 are Supported while 4.0-4.8 are Limited Support. So shouldn't 4.9 be either Supported or Limited Support?

Thanks

Hello,

I installed Proget with docker on a debian. However I can't find any resources on how to configure Proget to expose an HTTPS registry. I don't know in which folder to put my certificates in the proget container. I'm trying to find a documentation explaining how to config the /usr/share/Inedo/SharedConfig/ProGet.config file correctly for this purpose.

I had created nuget package repository using ProGet. Several packages were uploaded then. But the problem is that I can download them without any key, thus my private packages are unprotected and accessible to anyone in web. Is there any way to protect them by using key or credentials whatever?
I was struggling to find anything like that in package feed configuration.
Any help is highly appreciated!

Hi,

This may have already been answered in https://inedo.com/support/questions/800, but as that question was made several years ago, I would like to confirm that we can activate our prod license on a test instance of ProGet (cloned from our production instance) in order to test updates, without affecting our production instance.
